I Live in Melbourne florida (the other Melbourne), we are experiencing some nasty weather this evening! I hope the roof on my garage doesn't get torn off, my new bridgeport is NOT insured! Anybody else in the storm this evening? Eric |

| After last years triple storms, I installed a 12kw natural gas "Generac" standby generator with an auto transfer switch! Its big enough to run everything but the elec stove & AC unit! Our power went out for a week, and everything in the fridge was trashed! Not going to happen this time! Right now the tornado warnings have subsided, the winds are gone, but the beast has not hit land yet! Eric |

| Wind gusts have exceeded 92 MPH, there is 2' of water in the streets, and my generator has been running for over an hour! Hurricanes are such fun! Eric ps: no leaks in roof Last edited by widgitmaster; 10-24-2005 at 12:20 PM. |

| How's the shop holding up?? Get some heavy plastic over your mill and roll your tool boxes on top of the plastic to hold it in place! Roof leaks suck. I had a two year old roof that sprung a few leaks during Isabel two years ago. Luckily, not equipment got soaked - just the workbench. I lost a VERY large Maple tree (~44" diameter) that missed my house, garage, shed and A/C unit by inches, so I got very lucky. I wish you the best of luck. Please keep us up to date on your situation. Scott

| The rain has stopped, the wind is down to a mere 25 MPH! There was NO structural damage im my neighborhood, we were lucky this time! Having a generator has made me the envy of the neighborhood! Something tells me a few more will be installed in the near future! The power was out for three hours this time, much better than 10 days! Both my bridgeport & my router survived! Eric |

OT: Everytime I see that router it makes me drool all over again. One sexy beast...

| Glad to hear it. I spent an entire 16 hour day getting a buddy's generator running the day after Isabel hit us. It sat in my driveway and I was feeding it pre-mix racing fuel from my bikes and any other fuel we could find - we supplied power for 4 houses, occasionally switching extension cords to keep another neighbor from loosing his freezer full of food. We did this for 6 days straight, 24 hours. That same neighbor was a distributor and installer for Generac. He still does not have one in his house. Glad to hear your mill got through this OK...and you, too! Scott
