Hi, I made an excell spreadsheet for experimenting with gear ratios. What I'm trying to do is match as closely as possible my X axis which is a belt and pulley system to my Y and Z axies which are ballscrews. I think it's unlikely that I can get a perfect match but with the ratios I've worked out the theoretical rapid speed on y and z is 104.987 ipm and x is 104.900 ipm. I understand Mach2 has a ratio compensation input which I hope will make the axies proportional to each other. If anyone is intersted in looking over my spreadsheet (please check my formulas, I'm not a good mathamatician) it's here for download. If anyone has any comments or suggestions I'm all ears. Thanks Splint |
