Need advice on a mold

Im making a dog bone mold for a local dog show. My concern is if i make it from 6061 alum, baking it for 1/2 hour,45 minutes, the pores would open up and leech into the dog bone. I dont want to make something that would hurt the dogs at all. Any advice? maybe season it with crisco, or teflon coat it?

The mold is 6x6x1/2

Thank you for your time.

If I had to do it I'd suggest using a Silicon mold taken from an Aluminum pattern....High temperature Silicon rubber is a great baking mold material.

Mold and Aluminum drive my speeelcheeker bananas btw....luckily I'm bilingual

Have fun and post back with a picture of the finished mould and the aluminium master

ive decided to do it out of 6061 and have it hardcoated. The company we typically use has a fda approved coating rated for 500 degrees. They use it on cake/pan molds for all the local bakeries with any issues, its called "excalibur". Ill give that a shot, sounds like a winner. Ill post up pics when its finished. Thanks for the input on the silicon mold!
