Just wanted to Introduce myself to everyone! | | My name is Chris. I am 22 and started using mastercam 9.1 and x3 about a year and a half ago. It took me a long time with messing around with the program until I started feeling comfortable with it. And I definately learn from my mistakes haha. Just trying to figure out how to set my x,y axis and creating geometry was a struggle. Once I got comfortable with all the features, then I truely started to love it. The very first program I wrote was a bust. I new nothing about the post processor and wrote a program for a tsugami when I should have written it for a fadal. Luckily the only problems were the machine codes not matching up. Figuring out how to set up the post and drive files was a pain for me. I am greatful for these forums. I have become comfortable with the milling operations and surfacing, which I love. The one big issue I have Is understanding how to do more with the "mastercam x3" wire programing. My understanding of it is minimal, but growing. I am ok with 2D programing, but when it comes to incorporating the UV axis... I am totally lost. I will also be more than willing to help others, that is.. if it is something that I AM familliar with. I also have been using solidworks for about 2 years now and absolutely love it. I spend a lot of time at work using different features and familliarizing myself with controls I haven't used yet. If anyone ever needs any advice or help with programing or modeling or machining in general, feel free to ask me and If I know the answer I will be more than happy to assist. I appreciate all of your help as well!
I also have 5 years experience with mazak cnc lathes and mills... fully setting up, programing and operating. I also have a lot of experienced in manual machining with mill, lathe, grinding etc. and at least a year and a half fully operating a mitsubishi fx 10 wire edm. |
