Greetings All,

I am Ray and I am soon to be a ShopBot owner.

I am (for the next few months at least) a machinery repairman for a large automotive supplier.

I started my career in the late 80's as a machinist and a few years later I was doing complete machine fabrications for an upstart company.

I moved into machinery repair and have been a "maintenance man" ever since (15 yrs)

My current employer is closing our plant and is rewarding our faithful service with a meager severance. As it turns out it will cover the costs of a PRS standard 4896 Shopbot and a few other essentials like dust collectors and some modest tooling.

In these last couple years I've picked up a rather addicting hobby of building electric guitars with my son.
