Best education for turning center programming? | |
I am trying to get my dream job working for an ATV racing shop. I have been talking to the owner of the shop about what skills I need. He really needs a programmer for his Haas SL10. I took an online class for machining centers at universalclass.com before I found out he had a turning center insted of a VMC. I really enjoyed it and I think I leaned alot. They also have a tuning center class, but I wanted some other opinions before I sign up. I only have time to take classes online. I work about 14-16 hours everyday at my current job. I have no machine shop experience other than just watching when I have to have something done. Any suggestions on what I can do to help me learn this would be greatly appreciated.
Oh yeah, I'm glad I found this board. Lots of interesting things going on here.
