I think they need an email too. It didn't strike me as too invasive. I use it to host my WarpDriver downloads. PaulRowntree.weebly.com

Colten : How do you get a DNS entry for your Linux box? Do ISP's generally allow clients to set up their own Apache servers? This sounds like a good route if the volume is not an issue.

    Cheers!

I have 2 static ip's from my provider. I pay a little extra for them. I've never asked and they've never complained about me running server's from my 2 ip's. One ip is my home network which has some redirection going on to port forward to my linux box any port 80 requests. The other ip, I've used for a webserver for my RC club hcrcc.org. I also have another host setup on there using apache's virtual hosting for a RC helicopter event our club holds every year. That's at shag.heliaddiction.com.

AS far as getting that DNS entry, you only need to setup a hostname on godaddy, and the setup the A address to point to your static ip address. It's very simple todo as long as you have static ip's.

Make sure it has about 100 gigaterabytes of storage to start with. We'll use that up in short order. I know nothing about setting up a website.

I could get a free email account for use with that site only. Thanks. I had never seen a reference to them before.

    Whoosh, I'm tired.

First off, I know this is may be considered "old" for a forum, but...

    I (huff)

have just read the entire thread...

Start to finish... page 1 to 271... 3244 posts.

    Took me two weeks.

As soon as I have a little 'extra income' I will be aquiring the parts for a build similar (but probably much smaller) than yours, CarveOne. I have obviously been very entertained by this build and I am impressed with your work.

I have been a LONG time lurker of CNCzone and now I think i need to take a break after this! I could have had an entire desktop CNC machine built in the time I have spent reading this.

    Brandon

P.S. I have never seen so many calendars in one place!

Thanks for making my cap feel much smaller. I hope the entertainment was worth your time. Hurry up and build something.

I tend to be um, "wordy" too. If you haven't seen enough calendars look at my current project in my CarveOne's steel channel build log. I'll put them anywhere on a dare.

    Thanks fastpcuser!

    Try this download link:

    http://www.cnczone.com/forums/attach...6&d=1343221731

It is posted in one of my other build logs, CarveOne's Steel Channel Rebuild. If you open the zip file, then open the Top Panel file, click on the 6" Aztec calendar centerpiece, you can then export the calendar as a separate dxf file. Then you can import that to a new Vcarve Pro file and scale it to any size you need. Or you can just copy the centerpiece and paste it directly into a new project in VCP.

I also posted the file over in the Vectric forums where I have been showing the Paradise boxes I've made.

You're very welcome Wolffie. Glad to help. After you scale it up check it for open vectors. I haven't had any problems with it in Vcarve Pro or Aspire, but it can happen, especially if the Join Vectors tool's default resolution is set to a really small value.
