Sorry, couldn't find anywhere to best post this question... Where can I find fiberglass sheet/board/plate that is arround 1,2,3mm thick? It doesn't have to be in metric, inches is fine but arround that size. Within the USA offcourse. Thanks |

| A Google search for FRP sheets found a bunch of sources. If you are looking for the unclad circuit board material search for FR4 or G10 sheets. CarveOne

| Wax a peice of glass with mold release wax per the dirrections on the can, lay out 1.5 oz fiberglass mat on it and wet it out with polyester resin or marine epoxy (with proper hardner added). Use a dabbing motion if you use a brush or use one of the throw away paint rollers. Don't use more resin than needed to wet out the fiberglass. Use more layers if you need it thicker. Get out all air bubbles with the roller or buy a slotted layup roller. If you want it a nice shiny color use a coat of gel coat in the color you want as the first layer against the glass plate then do the above after it hardens. It will look as good as the finest boat you ever saw. |
