The idea Mailed a lot with Wim, the owner. Without him I could not have started my project. Drawn in SW and started looking for parts: ![]() Through www.stepperworld.com I bought a FET3 set. After some months (Don't watch the mess, we were about to move to Germany: ![]() I get nice results with this machine in MDF: ![]() ![]() ![]() Because I want to mill metal also, I am thinking of rebuilding my Mill to cnc: ![]() I want to use stepper motors. I need some help in finding the right ones. What would you suggest? My knowledge of electronics is neglectable I could by a 190 oz in set from Stepperworld, but is that enough power? | The router looks nice. I have a sugestion. have you thought about a flip of the Z-Axis to the other side of the gantry/Y-axis. With your sedign of the y-axis leadscrew being centered with the rails this would be a very easy unbolt and rebolt, then reverse your motors in software. Joe |
