| Hello all, I am nearing completion of my JGRO router. I have all three axis running with TurboCNC and only to mount the router. In the mean time though, I have been trying to tech myself to write G Code. The file I wrote is to cut the cross slide ways pattern out for the Gingery lathe. After about 15 minutes of run time, I aborted the program happy that it was moving where I told it, afterwards I felt the motors with my hands. They were pretty hot, not enough to burn you but hot none the less. I am running 111 oz-in motors from some Genicom printers I scrapped. They are 200 steps per revolution and I am running them half step. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Joe Hildreth |

| I have been told the motors I have are rated at 110C (DANG HOT!) but I am building mounts to put small blower under them to direct airflow over them (bfb1012h or bfc1212a) . Either one move a massive amount of air even when restricted thru a filter |

| even if they are hot enough to burn you, they're probably rated much higher. At least 70C, usually up to 100C

| I had been told 200°f is what most are rated at, so you shuld not have to worry, and like ger21 mentioned in another thread, you can run them 15-20 x the rated voltage, so lets say you have a 3v motor running at 33vdc then that is only 11x the rated v. |
