Wing cutting and 4 axis g-code

I want to use g-code to run my 4 axis foam cutter. I am interested in controlling all four axis for cutting wings etc...each axis moves at its own speed and direction.

Now, I have seen the stuff for cutting signs and stuff like that. That is not too difficult.

I am interested in accomplishing what the Guilles Mueller software does, but with g-code or something similar. I need to cut tapered wing cores, and as such each axis moves at its own speed and direction. Then I can use rapids for foam blocking and other functions, and then slow back down and cut the wing.

    Does that make sense?

    Any ideas?

    hi THend,

for my little experience DeskCNC is the only software that use the 4 axis Gcode because when you generate a file he's work with X-Y and U-V.

on the market there are many CAM that work for the EDM machine but it's to difficult to obtain a correct g-code easly.

DeskCNC is very easy to use and can work also with router

    sorry for my english

    bye

    Thought about Excel?
Not the g-code solution you are looking for - but should do tapered cores.
A fellow in Johor Baru, Malaysia wrote some free software that plugs into Excel 2003. Its VB based as I recall.
A search of the cnczone outta turn it up if you're interested. He also has some 6 axis source code.
    Cheers - Jim

Check out my CNC hot wire foam cutter. It is controlled with CNC USB motion controller which directly supports Profili generated 4-axis g-code.
