Need Help!- Need suggestion what software or cam or ??? to use with lathe/turntable

I'm retrofitting a croma 4x8x4 hot knife cnc and im going to add lathe (5th axis) while im retrofitting it and using g540 from geckodrive (parallel port)

i dont mind using mach or something but i would need some decent software to be able to produce gcode or a foam cutting software that will work with parallel port

Any suggestion or input would be appreciated

Try Dolphin cad cam. Ive been using for quite some time now and have nothing but good things to say about it. Another suggestion is surfcam but that can be very costly.

okay will look into it.. (i rather mach myself since its very nice controller software)

Mach 3 is a controller software. It is not cad cam.

i know that mach is controller software(using it for my cnc router) love all of the options/features that mach can support.. but for hot wire foam cutting is a whole new world for me i have no experience on it.. i can build the table to make it move where i want it to move but for designing part i have no idea (im a 2.5 d guy and want to make bottles or columns or bunch round parts out of cnc foam cutter
