Very Nice!
Do you have a detail (close up image) of the SLIDERS?
Are those tracks - or rods?
How do you move cutting wire? Is it belt drive - or Rack Drive?
Thanks -
Jim
Experience is the BEST Teacher. Is that why it usually arrives in a shower of sparks, flash of light, loud bang, a cloud of smoke, AND -- a BILL to pay? You usually get it -- just after you need it.
Very nice looking machine. I was thinking of building a machine similar to this in size. Could anyone give me a rough estimate on what a build project like this would cost me.
We currently route foam panels on our CNC, but were entertaining the idea of moving into the hotwire machines to increase our offerings.
Sorry to impose on the thread, but this machine is exactly what I was thinking about building.
Thanks for any info you can provide.
Thanks,
Zach
hi to everyone,
sorry for delay and here other detailed photos.
answer to High Seas:
the sliders are special v roller bearing with alluminum body.this sliders works on round shaft fixed to his special alluminium profile.it's too expensive but to fast to mount and to setup without mechanical processing
for the X Axis i choose belt trasmission with motor reduction.on the Y axis i choose a screw with reduction.this choose is made for the problem of the wire because if there is a blackout, with the belt, the carriage fall down with the brake of the wire
answer for zachf:
i draw this machine because i'm a mechanical designer.i spent for this machine all inclusive about €18000 euros
do you have a link or some photos of your factory?
we built so the handle turning table made with a wood circular plane and wheel to the bottom and to the edge:this system is to easy and cheaper
