    Connecting 2 steppers in parallel

How do you connect two steppers in parallel to drive one axis of a CNC foam cutter?

You buy two drives and connect both to the same step & dir signals. You will get really bad results from trying to run two steppers in parallel. Depending on the drives you may need to buffer (boost) the step & dir signals.

Some software such as Mach2/3 has a slave option where it sends identical commands to a second axis.
