    Talking 1'' Fly Cutters

We are looking for a cutter with through coolant for roughing out a pocket: 1.753 ID x 2.435 depth. We are using a 1.625 core drill then spiralling down with a 1'' cutter. Chip evacuation needs to be good. We are currently using a Mitsubishi cutter. Works OK but looking for sugestions. Thanks in advance.

We use 210 coromills and 390 coromills
    both work very well
you will not need to drill a starter hole with either one
Just have to watch that your ramp angle is not to steep, use sandvik spec's and they work

We just had a demo on the Mitsubishi and on the Hitachi, and the Hitachi just smoked the Mits. The mitsubishi ran very rough and hammered compared to the Hitachi. We ran a 1" on some H-13 on one of our smaller hurcos. We took a .031 depth of cut .70 wide at 350" per minute, about 1950 rpm's. I ran quiet and smooth for about an hour before we were finished with the block, the insert wear was basically nothing, just a slight shiny edge, it could have easily gone 3 times the time. I does have thru coolant or air. We are replacing all our Iscar tools with them.
