How to replace air seals for Kress Auto Tool Changer - ATC

    Hi,

I am trying to replace air seals for my Kress Auto Tool changer - ATC.
I have opened it and have a shaft visible. Uppor air seal is easy to replace
but bottom one - is problem - I do not know how to do.
My new bottom airseal is made of somekind clear nylon and it's diameter is smaller than the shaft so I cannot move it to the slot in shaft.
Is the shaft somehow possible to open to 2 pieces so that air seal can be set to slot. See the picture about shaft and airseal washer.
