    Holder for for fragile pieces

I'm searching for a holder that can be used when processing small and fragile pieces (glass cylinders) in a CNC machine.

At the moment, I use wax to attach the glass piece I want to process on to a pin. This takes a lot of time so I would like to find a faster and more precise solution.

Does anyone know of anything that could be useful?

    Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply, I think I could use that solution for some parts.

Although, most products are only attached in the bottom (therefore the wax, acting as the glue between the pin and the glass cylinder) to be able to reach all areas that need to be reached without re-positioning.

So my ultimate goal would be to find a solution where the solid glass cylinder is kept in place only on one side, in this case the flat bottom. I have been looking for a very small vacuum solution or any other solution that would give me a short setup times.

There is the Ice Vice system.

    Ice as vice

    Guessing it's not cheap.

Very interesting technology and maybe applicable to my problem.

But as you said, it will most likely be a bit too costly.

I am still pursuing some sort of vacuum solution as my main lead but I am having trouble finding one that is small enough and not only made to hold flat parts. Any ideas?
