More than just “a little” frustrated at finding a place to buy a few tools.

I’ve spent hours and hours trying to find a place to purchase a Haimer Universal 3D Sensor and a Frowler Presetter or a Trimos TPR Tool Setter.

It just boggles the mind how difficult and unsuccessful I have been on locating these items "for purchase". With Frowler they list 10 distributors I checked every single distributor’s website and not one of them sell what I'm looking for or at least what shows up in searching their website.

Emails to Frowler has not helped one bit. I would think that a company this size would have people checking to see how available there products are to consumers. In today’s world, manufacturers can easily put product directly in the hands of customers via the internet

With Haimer I've encounter pretty much the same. I talked to a sales rep for Haimer twice yesterday morning and he said he would in contact with a distributor and never did as of today. Perhaps I'm being impatient because of the time I spent previously looking for a website to purchase the 3d sensor.

I'm kind of having the same problem with coolant venders but am close to getting that worked out.

I think many companies are missing out on how useful the internet can be in order to get product in the hands of consumers and it's not limited to the machining industry. (Rant over)

Can anyone direct me to a website where I can purchase this stuff?

    WOW, I just got a price on the Fowler-Trimos #54-188-401 it's $8400.

Does anyone make "manual" Presetter similar to that without the capabilities of sending data to a printer or the machine? I'm not in the market for one with optics and such.

I'm also looking for a Haimer and I'm having the same trouble. Post back if you find some place where you can mail order one.

I got mine today as well. Haimer hooked me up with a local dealer who had it drop shiped directly from Haimer. Not sure why they couldn't just knock out the middleman.

I spent some time getting it centered tonight and basically fooling around with it. That is an outstanding peice of equipment and leaves me wishing I'd just bought one of these in the first place. I've got a drawer full of $50-$80 edge finders that are bent and ruined. Those are way too unforgiving for a dyslexic guy.

Though I saw no Haimer Tasters there.

How much did it cost from the other guy?

I am not sure what "other guy" you are referring to. I did indeed buy the Haimer from Sussex Tool, even though they might not have it on their website, the sales guys stop in all the time and I ordered it from them,, give them a call they will hook you up. I would assume the digital is closer to 500$ by now, the regular slightly cheaper is my guess.
