Hi all, this is my very first post here. A big congrats to the biggest CNC community forum and many thanks to all for the very useful info found here.

My question relates to a newly acquired 3-phase ELTE motor I have in my hands.
It's model PE2 9/2 and has a shaft with an SL nose, as it is described in ELTE's site. The shaft has an internal thread at it's end. I'm guessing M8 as I don't have a screw to try this right now.

As I already have a 3-phase VFD in my possession I would like to build an EMC driven spindle for my CNC gantry router with this motor.

The question is, does anybody know what I can do with this shaft? Can I build something that takes collets, for example? Does it take special tools and if so where can I find these?

Any ideas would be very appreciated.
