    M00 M01 M20 M30 M90

M00 is normally a forced stop in the program. The Operator woulkd just hit the start button to continue.

M01 is normally the Stop by the "Optional Stop" switch on the machine. Turn the switch on the manchine and it will stop at the M01, hit Start to go. Turn the switch off and the machine ignores the M01.

The M30 is usually a Program End and return to beginning which will require the start button to be hit to run the next cycle.

The others are more machine specific.

Remember M Codes are generally more machine specific than G codes.
