We have a Star SR20R that was using a flash card by sandisk. Anyhow a disgruntle employee walked off with the memory card. I tried to buy a replacement and they only sell sd II flash cards. I tried using it and i get card errors. So I turmed on the rs232c port and plugged my cable in and set the fanuc 18i up for channel 0. 4800 baud 2 stop bits Iso. When I try to send a program lsk just keeps blinking as if it recieved nothing. On the PC side of things I can recieve a file from the star and its perfect using the same I/O port. When i recieve on the star the lsk will blink but if i pull the rs232 cable off the lsk goes ot and gives me a b/ps 086 error. Is it possible that the cable is right on the pc end but not on the fanuc side that is acting like it doesnt work in but works out? Or is the software im using the problem? I am using Cincom. Any help will be greatfully accepted ...my hair is turning grey by the minute.
Usually using a three wire cable solves communication problems.
This shows a 0M but just go by the cable ends, they are the same.
