Hi Jung,
I seem to have the same problem. Have you had any luck finding the ladder?
Thanks,
Kenny

I have with Tornos USA. I was told I would probably have to contact Tornos Swiss. I thought I would try my luck here first.
Thanks Al.

Unhappy Tornos ENC-167 Fanuc Ladder

We just purchased a Tornos ENC-167 that was working fine until we set it up in our shop and proceeded to chase down alarms, starting out with a 972 slot 2 alarm, then servo alarms, then a parity alarm.

Under apparently incorrect assumptions, control boards were pulled and "Delete + Reset" was performed. Now, I understand that in doing this (sad to say), parameters were erased. But also, the Ladder is not showing up on the monitor.

When I go to SYSTEM->PMC, I get "ER07 OPTION (Ladder Step)"

Isn't the Ladder written to eprom? If so, wouldn't that the Ladder still exist?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Kenny

Hello . I have ENC 167. Fortunatelly I backed up all parameters. If you are still seeking the parameters I can send them.
I am in this forum as I am looking for help too. I need to know how to program this machine.
So :
I need to know very urgently how to program synchronization of C axis for
both spindles during cutting off.
I have to drill some cross holes in S1 and then next cross ones in S2 spindle. These holes have to be in exact angle position each other. So
when I cut off the part then I have to ensure that the part in S2 spindle
will be in know angular position. Without this is impossible to drill
holes in S2 so that they will be in exact angular position towards the holes
made in S1 .
My programming manual is not complet as there is only very short mention
about macro G355. This macro seems to be just for programming angular offset beteween spindles.
My problem is that I do not know how to use macro G355 with variable D.
Maybe somebody have better programming manual or know how to program this.

I just checked in the manual. I am not familiar with this machine as it is very old, but the speed and phase angle of the main and pick off spindle should be adjusted with the M18 command in channel 2 before you pick off the part. The angular zero points of the spindles will be synchronized after the M18, so you should automatically have angular alignment of your holes.

The G355 is only used only to alter the phase shift (angle) of the S1 spindle, the 'D' argument is used to enter the angle you want to shift, ie for 10 degrees enter G355D10.

Does that help you?

Did this help? if not try G178 and all your problems should be eliminated. I been programming ENC167 over 10 years. We mill/ croos drill on main spindle, use G178 to pick off with sub and mill slot on back end. We hold orientation all day without no problem. G178 takes care of RPM sync, phase sync and pickoff location for the sub.

I forgot. Could you send a part of programm where is used command G355. Only as example. I am not shure how to use this command G355 althought I understand him and paraterer D as well. I men if this command has to be written before G178 or M18 .
