| LOBE TURNING? Turning a Pentalobe on a Citizen E-32, anyone ever done it? There is a G code for polygon machining but I'm not sure how to use it. G114.2 is supposed to turn cam shapes but I've never used it. Not only do I have to turn a profile (attachment - pic to the left - the tip) to come out as a pentalobe (attachment - pic to the right - not a diameter), but I also have to turn the threads to follow the surfaces shape (minor thread diameter in red). Any advise on how to turn a cam would be helpful. With that info I might be able to figure out how to thread it. Thanks any & everyone. Last edited by sidswiss; 09-09-2008 at 01:13 PM. |
