| thank you to everyone for reposting, its nice to get input. We have only been running the citizens here for almost a year, here we run anything from plastics, to stainless, brass to 303 and 316. Currently for turning, we are using kennametal tool holders and inserts, I have no complaints and cost is pretty decent. We do spend a great deal of time on some jobs changing inserts on the harder materials, this is given, but I just wanted your input on what you use and how they compare, our most common inserts (although they change with material) are the KC5010, and KC5025 and occasionally KC730., also when running steel we have the given problem of breaking the chips, any advice without loosing cycle time, we often have to clear are chips off the front and back drills, we have a high pressor coolant system, but MOST of the time, is more of a pain in the ass, and it helps with cycle time but not so much with chips wrapped on drills. Thank you for everyones help and support! |

| G160 Here are the # for the machine positions. These will give you the axis shown for the $ sign you are in when you ask. What are you trying to do that you want the torque for the guidebushing? #5021= Macro variable for "X" current axis "Machine" position #5022= Macro variable for "Z" current axis "Machine" position #5023= Macro variable for "Y" current axis "Machine" position #5024= Macro variable for "C" current axis "Machine" position #5041= Macro variable for "X" current axis "Relative" position #5042= Macro variable for "Z" current axis "Relative" position #5043= Macro variable for "Y" current axis "Relative" position #5044= Macro variable for "C" current axis "Relative" position |
