Thread rolling

Anyone thread rolling on their swiss? I was looking at Habegger and they don't seem to carry an 8-32 die for a 22mm holder.

Are there any other companies that make thread rolling dies for swiss type?

i just talked with fredric yesterday about rollers they can do specials

i needed a 2-56 lh

lmt fette also does rollers but they are big

i remember an article a while back in prouction machining about thread rolling in an ss

Habegger does make #8-32 dies. They are used in their R-25 holder. We use them all the time. Contact Alouette tool. they should have them in stock.

Based on the information I gathered from Alouette's website, the R25 holder doesn't come in 22mm shank diameter.

I'll be calling them on monday anyways, just to see if maybe the do have it in that size. I also may consider having the R25 shank ground to 22mm.

I was just hoping that there may have been someone else besides Habegger.

You might also want to check out C. J. Winter. They make many different kinds of thread rolls and holders. Specials are reasonable in both time and price at my last dealing with them.

I'm going with an R25 holder with 22mm shank. Habegger does make them, just not listed in their catalog. And of course, have to wait for delivery from overseas.

We use Namco N-1 and N-2 on our Citizen A32 on the ID tool block for S1. Only problem is reseting the roller heads by extending stock out to push lever arm up. Great product though

I have used both Fette F-01 heads and Landis cnc style in the A & L series machines.
