In some Citizen machines, the bits are read from right to left. I am not sure that is the same case in your machines. Not sure that might be the solution or not......
We have a TSUGAMI SX26 BS26B with a FANUC LA1 ... broke a belt on axis T1 and the axis fell to the bottom ... replaced the belt and now trying to work through the 5.12.1 "Procedure for setting the zero points of the T1, etc. axis" on page 5-20 of the Instruction Manual but get to STEP 6 which says to press the JOG - button until the axis stops ... that's where the axis falls to the bottom as fast as gravity will take it !!!
Strange thing is ... STEP 4 says to "set "1" in bit 4 of MAIN DGN No.544" but this bit is already set to "1" and only when I set it to "0" will the axis not do the gravity drop to the bottom but slowly passes the index mark lignup until the axis evidently overtravels with "441 Servo Alarm: 4 Axis Excess Err"
To move up off the bottom I have to jump down to STEP 8 and "Set ZRN on the general-purpose operator's panel of the MAIN screen display to "OFF""
I'm sure some of you chaps out there have run across this problem and maybe laughing by now so I appreciate your time to throw me a bone or two!

I think the 441 alarm is a hard stop alarm. Where the axis may be mechanically obstructed.
Call REM Sales for service at (860) 687-3400 and ask for Gary Mankus. He's pretty damn good at resolving those issues.
There are 2 different methods of finding origin. One by Tsugami (in the manual) and the other is the typical Fanuc method of dropping the bit.
Considering the belt broke, you may just have to do the Fanuc method.
10-4 on that good buddy! Gary Mankus at REM Sales give me the work-around for that procedure that wasn't working:
Work-Around:
- Align T10 (font) or T15 (rear) with center of spindle.
- Enable PWE.
- Locate parameter 22 … turn bit 3 off.
- Disable PWE.
- Power machine off … then on.
- Enable PWE
- Turn bit 3 back on.
- Disable PWE
- Power machine off … then on.
- Y coordinance should display 0.00000 with T10 at spindle center.
Thanks for your help guys!![]()
Glad to see that Gary was able to help.
The guys at REM Sales are first class.
