I am doing a 3.5" deep hole in 5/8" copper. When i go to od turn The barloader is alarming out ($5 overload). Is my tourqe setting too high? I can not figure it out and the material is very pricey.

Are you using coolant through drills? It sioounds to me like you might be pushing the material back with the drill and causing an A7 overload, especially if its making a strange noise the last two pecks.
