Are you a CNC repair service who operates in the NorthWestern United States? I'm in need of someone who can diagnose and repair my Citizen Cincom F20 automatic screw machine located in my shop in N.E. Montana. If this is your line of expertise, please respond, and lets do some business. Rob. |

| Hi Rob, Maybe I can help. Is this the same machine that you bought and it wouldn't run, posted around 9-15-10? I'm not tech but I do have several years working on F-12's and F-16's with 3T Fanuc controls. I've messed with about everything you can on one, but I'm not sure if they are the same, our machines have two 5 station turrets and the the headstock is fixed and the turrets move with the bushing. A few questions? What kind of control? Do you have the right manuals, both Fanuc and Citizens? Are the turrets clamped? What shows up on the CRT? Does the hydraulic pump start? The guys at Citizens may have never ever seen the machine you have, all they have is a book in front of them and sometimes how to solve the problem isn't in it. George |

| George, Mine is an F20 with a 10T control. Yes, I have all correct manuals. The turrets are clamped, at least, they are fixed and immovable. Nothing shows up on the CRT, only one light is illuminated on the console. I know the CRT is live because I changed the brightness till it glowed, but there is no cursor. When I switch it on, the cabinet fans start, but no hydraulics. There is a good chance I lost all parameters, I am going to see if I can repace them with a new set from Citizen this week, or get a set of discs for loading them when I get a live console. If you can bring this beast to life, we can do business. |

| Rob, I don't have any experience with the 10t, but on the 3t's if the parameters are lost I have to jumper the e-stop button and put in parameters 1 to 4 and all of a sudden the machine comes to life. This info I got from the Citizens tech's and I have never seen it in any of the books. I have a jumper that connects the 31 and 32 wires on the back of the e-stop button. With the e-stop pushed in and the parameter switch on. What year is this machine? Do you have a parameter list? Have you been talking with the guys at Marubeni in NJ.(201-818-0100) I call them once in a while, their pretty good and it's free, just like the Fanuc call service. Wish I knew more about the 10t, this machine must be newer than the ones we have. On the older machines if the turret shot pin is not in the machine will not power up. You have to manually put them in and it will start, put tool holder on the turret and give it a good yank and see if it moves. There is a section in the citizens manual about this. It's just a matter of removing a cover and using a screw driver to turn the gear so that the dogs contact a switch. Let me know how you make out, these are great machines when they are running right.
