I am planning to add a few solenoid valves to control an NSK air spindle, a few air nozzles and a few for future uses (addition NSK's ect). I have 4 unused M codes (using one for drill detection) but the idea of using the B codes popped into my head. We do not have HPC and not planning to add it to this machine. I was looking at the wiring schematic and it looks like the B codes output as an 8-bit digital signal that would be interpreted by the PLC on the HPC pump. So I am out of luck thinking I could just use the B codes as M codes, right? Does anyone have any experience/ideas using B codes, with or without the help of an additional PLC, to act as additional M codes? (Citizen A220) |

As far as I know, they do close to the same thing. B code has ... B0-B255 (?) Only one B code per line I'm not sure how B Finish is handled. After that, both are used to handle miscellaneuous outputs to control external functions such as yours. Good luck.
