| Mach 3 manual height adjust Hi Guys Whilst we are waiting for our plasma unit to be fixed, we have put an oxy acetylene torch on the gantry for the time being. Our setup is running Mach III with SheetCam for programming. With a lot of material, I need to be able to adjust the Z axis whilst the program is running. Is there a way to setup the Mach III to do this? At times this would be a very useful function with the plasma as well. Thanks in Advance |

| Yes. There are a couple of ways. If you have access to the UP and DOWN signals from the THC (our Table I/O card that comes with our MP1000 and MP3000 has the isolated inputs available externally at the card) you can rig up a couple of switches (NO) and manually move the Z while cutting. You need to set the option in MACH (Ports&Pins/Mill Options) to "Allow THC UP and DOWN Control....[checkbox]." That lets you use the UP and DOWN inputs manually without having the THC on in MACH. If you have any open inputs (preferably isolated inputs) then you can setup a new Profile (Copy the existing profile) with a different name and map the THC UP and THC Down to pins you do have access to (In Ports&Pins/Input Signals. Activating those inputs will let you move Z. Last option is to use keyboard emulation to trigger those pins. If you need more specifics you are welcome to join the CandCNCSupport Yahoo Forum and get details. TOM Caudle www.CandCNC.com |
