Talking Plasma G-code reading

Hi all! New to this site.......so here goes. I work with Hypertherm/Koike plasma tables and we generate our work using ProNest. I really need to hone my skills with reading the code due to constant debates with the operators: example" Is it the Operator, the machine itself, or the code? So I'm really looking for a reference guide to reading the code.
Thanks

I'm not sure which model cnc controller you have on the Koike table....is it a Burny, a Hypertherm, a ProMotion? If you have a copy of the operators manual that came with the cnc controller there will be a list of machine codes...and what they do.

If your controller is manufactured by Hypertherm, Hypertherm Automation or Centricut....then provide me with the model and serial from the rear panel...and the rev level of the operating software....and I can get a machine code list for you.

The major codes you need to be interested in in regards to improving plasma cutting performance will include:

-THC disable
-THC enable (these go by different names under different control mfgrs!)
-Plasma on
-Plasma off
-marker on
-marker off
-Feedrate overide
-cutoff time
-pierce delay

There are many more......and depending on the combination of machine and plasma....some may be functional and some may be non-functional!

Let me know more about the equipment you are using....and any particular cut quality issues you want to work on...and I may be able to help.
