If that is a Xylotex board under the fan in the picture, I would move it out from sitting right on the heat sinks to spread the airflow over all 4 of the drivers or possibly 2 fan,s. If you are using only the first three drivers and are using the fourth to drive a forth axis in the future, bias the fan to the three that you will be using the most. A fourth axis/rotary table most likely won't be pulling all the amps that the others will be pulling. Other than that it looks good Mike

| yeah the fans could be moved back for sure...it was a temp mount..thinking about using two fans...programs are really short right now and i try to not leave the drives on while iam making changes...so i hope it will be ok for a sec....iam going to be adding some pics for you guys ...and you can tell mw what i need to change ..so for the machine works great ...it does what i need .. ok a lil bit about my table, its a 4x4 with xylotex 4 axis drive board and power supply with 420 oz motors, is belt driven on both sides of the x axis and the y axis is belt driven as well...the z axis is threaded rod (going to upgrade to better rod , one day). the gantry is made of .120 wall 2x3 alum sq tubing with the guide rails being made of 2x3/8 and 1x1 cold rolled steel. the x axis rails are made of the same 2x3/8 colled rolled steel also. the table itself was made from 2x2 16 ga. mild steel for the legs (could have been lil thicker , just used what i had) the rest of the table is made of 2x3 channel iron.the whole table rides on the good ol skate bearings...i think they were like 7bec or something like that...well i hope this gives you a lil bit of info about my table. i will be putting pics up..but my computer is a pos so it might take a sec... any changes i need to make ..let me know but be nice this is my first one.. |
