New cutting machine

Sir,

You have a nice looking machine; you did lots of work to get where you are!

Whose machine control software are you using?
Whose drivers do you have for your stepper motors? How many volts DC does it use?
Is that single side drive? It looks like there is only one long axis drive.
Does the machine run smoothly when the drives are disengaged and you move it left-right and forward-back by hand?

There are lots of factors involved in a smooth operating machine.

Hai Jack

thanks for respons. I use mach3 for software and kl4030 driver from kelinginc. I use 24V for stepper motor. Yes i use single motor but use couple shaft ad gear to other side. if i move by hand is not really smooth. please advise to design axis bearing or roller with cheaper cost. Thanks.

Erwin

Does anyone else think this machine looks a lot like an overgrown PlasmaCam?

I can't really tell from your pictures what type of rollers you have on your gantry. It needs to free roll (with pinion gears disengaged) without effort or binding. More information & more pictures of your set up is really needed to try to help you figure it out.
