| I have a Hypertherm 1000 sitting on a Practical CNC with a torch height control. I have encountered a new problem and I am not sure what is causing the trouble. Once the program is started the THC measures the distance to steel and then the torch ignites and cuts but once the torch retracts to move to next position and does the touch off again it does not ignite. I have installed new consumables, made sure there is no air in filter line, checked the pressure coming in and going out.......made sure the ground was good. No wires appear to be loose anywhere.......Yet, it will not reignite after the first inital time. Anyone know what is going on, it has not done this before. |

| It took a long time to get back, sorry out of town. No it isn't the switch that is set correctly. Now it gives me a 10 second red light when the torch is activated, according to the hypertherm manual that is suppose to indicate stuck or jammed consumables. I have replaced all the consumables and none are sticking, but it still will not ignite. Once in a while it will ignite, but it never does when moving to the next position. I have just started going over it again today, due to being out of town. Any other ideas will be welcomed. |

I am trying it out today, I talked to the rep. from Hypertherm he suggested to back off the consumables 1/2 turn maybe it is to tight. He also gave me a list of lights to check on the board. The lights will help them to determine the condition. Hopefully with some luck we can nail this down. I have 4 filters on the lines to keep moisture out, and I am not finding any. So I ruled that one out. Thanks for the help and suggestions!!!!! |
