Ghetto THC

Just starting playing with my table with my plasma cutter
had an idea for a ghetto THC type attachment (only the height control
part not the arc control part)

trying to think of a way to auto-control the z motor to have it "float" some just in case

attached graphic is one idea, i suppose contacts would be better than
switches so as soon as the plunger touchs either high or low the z axis would respond up or down always trying to keep the plunger in the middle range (without having any switch activation pressure)

unless of course the plunger fell through a hole you had just cut out
humm maybe a bad idea

I suppose the spring mount torch holder is the easiest but as first attempt
already mounted it solid to get up and running fast

any other recommendations?
