I have an old 5x12 straight line oxy cutting rig, want to convert to cnc plasma table anybody have a gantry design with X,Y and Z drive system?, it already has slatted table with bottom box that can be converted to downdraft suction easily.

Chat with the guys at EZ-router. They will sell anything from a whole table down to sub-assemblies. They will sell you rack and pinions, gantrys, etc.

We sell a complete plug and go plasma control package with motors, cables, Digital THC, and control software (MACH) but no mechanical stuff like gantrys , brackets or motor mounts.

What make of machine do you have? Pictures would also be helpful. In a past life I used to retrofit these machines (some of them, at least). Some are not well enough built to warrant conversion to plasma, if you want to cut at high speed, anyway!

It is a shop made table with the old motor driven oxy cutter that runs on tracks. the table is 5 ft on the inside and 12ft end to end. The sides of the table are made of 6" C channel. It is a heavy stout table it is not going anywhere. Just wondering if I should convert it or just cough the dough for a new table and system.
