I am considering adding CNC plasma capabilities to my shop and was wondering what to budget for cut time charge per hour. Any suggestions?  |

| per hour of what? Actual table time? That is brief compared to materal handling, de-slag, layout, artwork generation. Pick the wrong software tools and most of you profit will vanish in the "programming" end of the equation. I worry less about time, and price my stuff by material and square foot numbers. That way someone can send me a design or drawing (or even call me on the phone) and I can quickly calculate a price. Much easier then if I try to figure out how many man hours might be involved. You can do it that way since there is only one process: Cutting shapes from flat material. TOM CAUDLE www.CandCNC.com |
