| I don't know what part of the "United States of America" he is from, but his dialect of written English is difficult to parse. Hope the attention to detail in the software is left in the hands of someone else. The combination of a low cost CAD or drawing software (DrawCAD,IntelliCAD, older versions of CorelDraw) coupled with SheetCAM and MACH is a difficult bundle to ignore from a features perspective or a price. |

| Why do we have to contact you? Just give links to the software. If it's as great as you say then it will be obvious from the demo I can download....right? What an excellent way for a person or company to get a "Phishing" list by saying "contact me". That may not be the intent but the possibility exists. Legit offerings and companies have Websites with information, free trial versions, contact information, phone numbers etc. |

| That is the WE-CIM software. If you had said that up front then we would not have wasted all the time prying it out of you. 1. There is no trial version 2. There is no pricing on their website and the DynaTorch site says "Call" (it's a secret!) 3. It appears they sell to/through OEM's (like DynaCNC) 4. I doubt the pricing structure could match the SheetCAM 166.00 price 5. Ease of use is in the eye of the user. With no way to test it, it's just speculation. When I see the "Call" on the price on anything, my brain says "To Expensive to list". This is a list for primarily hobby users and small shops. Software that costs over a couple hundred bucks needs to be carefully evaluated by most of us. If your intent is to contribute to the list then hit-n-run posts about a product with no information are counter-productive. If you are a user and like the product, than tell us what features you find so compelling (besides "it's easy to use") and some pricing information that could help the readers. If you are a shill for the company or one of the OEM's, or you are getting a commission off the sales or referrals then you need to state that too. Nobody likes a Three Card Monty approach to sales. Everybody here knows (or can easily determine) that I sell CNC electronics and some related software. I also cut steel and route wood in my shop for profit and use that experience to design my products and help oter fellow CNC'rs. When I have new products or specials I post them in the appropriate New Products Announcements sections. I try to keep my contributions to the forum lists to answering questions and helping other fellow Home Shop CNC'rs or Small Shop Users. I enjoy this hobby and watching others enjoy it too. | Thank you TOM..... I asked the question not to long ago if anyone had any info on the WE-CIM software. Not a word from anyone. It certainly does look good on their video demos. But I too figured it was expensive almost beyond belief or there would be an advertised price. I might even be interested. but I hate to beg anyone to sell me their product. If you read between the lines on Dynatorch's website it must be somewhere in the range of $1650.00 when you look at their pricing structure.

| I STAND CORRECTED!!!!!! I did get a reply: Quote: WE-CIM Great software -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have been using the Wittlock Engineering software for about five years to program machines like Salvagnini, Trumpf and a plasma with a Burny control. It has been able to reduce our company’s cost by saving material and programming time. The Wittlock team has been very helpful and have even incorporated features I’ve requested that make programming easer. Price maybe a problem if you want something cheap. If you have a Dyatorch I think you can get the software for around 2k if you have another plasma system they may work something out I don’t know. For the full-blown software you would be looking at around 9k plus training. Round figures, but if you could save a piece of material a week and a half hour a day programming you could have the software paid for in a year. Feel free to e-mail any other question you might have and I would be happy to answer them. Independent CNC Programmer www.ctcn,net/~3kings/

| I use Sheetcam pretty much every day, and have burned dozens of sheets of steel with it. I use it in conjunction with a simple CAD program, Corel Draw12, and Quickstep. I haven't even hit the three hundred dollar mark yet in software investment, and can fill up a whole sheet of parts in a couple minutes. When I am done with a sheet, I am done with it. There is nothing left to speak of. Any thing big enough to keep is thrown in a bin for use later. Very hard to beat the DIY softwares like Mach, Sheetcam, Vcarve, Quickstep, Turbocnc, etc. out there these days, in terms of price and ease of use. By the way, I like the smiley icon. Nice touch!
