Just got a Hitachi Seiko 1987 machine with a Fanuc 6M controller with a few manuals missing. Anyone know where these may be downloaded from. The main ones would be Maintenance and programing.

Hi,
Just read your post about the Hitachi machine. We currently have 6 large Hitachis A 5Q, 4 6Q's, and an 8Q not sure about the control off the top of my head but if you get back to me with the machine model etc I'll see if I can help. BTW we are based in Redditch, near Birmingham.

Thanks for the reply. It's an old machine (manual Z) that runs ok but we are having a few problems that should be easy to correct if we had the manuals. I have ran Sodicks and Charmilles before but not one of these so I'm doggy paddling by trial and error for now. A maintanance manual would help lots.

Without knowing your problems I cannot help you, because obviously we need our manuals, but if you can explain your problems we maybe able to help.you see the thing is basically the machines are all the same but some have different guides, power supplies, power pickups etc. we all have various experience with Sodicks, Agie, Charmilles, Mitsubishi, Japax, so we could possibly help you without giving away our manuals (we could fax copies of what you need however) failing that we could put you in touch with the uk dealer who also maybe able to help.

I also have just purchased a Hitachi Wire EDM at an auction. I do not have any manuals either and I am looking for some manuals. I have been trying to order some from Hitachi but they seem very slow to respond.

1987 Hitachi Hi-Cut 203 with Fanuc 6M controller.
I am willing to pay money for a copy of any of the manuals.

Sorry for the delay, I have to work these pages from home.
Firstly we seem to be getting away with a very simple program setup.
G21 G90 G50
G41 D0
X_____ Y_____
Same for the 4 axis. I could do with a list of relavent G codes if you have them as I think some may be missing.
Secondly If we get an alarm 41 (offset issue) it would appear that we can't override, the program seems to miss a few lines before continuing. I was thinking a parrameter needed setting.
Thirdly how is the wire tension adjusted. There seems to be no manual adjustment just thread it and run, I know it's old but.....

If you can help with any of these issues we would be very grateful.

Hi Guys, I know someone at hitachi that would be able to help you with the relevant manuals. Unfortunately i have relocated toNZ recently and all my stuff is somewhere in the middle of the indian ocean in a shipping container. If you guys can wait until end of january i will gladly help....

I have a Japax/Bridgeport wire EDM I believe is an '84 or '85, but I'm missing all the manuals; Is there anyone that knows were I can download them, I need the programing and maintenance.
