| Using Mic Connectors For Xyz Cords I have these six pin mic connectors laying around my garage. Do you think I can use this for my controller? My steppers are MAE 200 - 3424-300 c6. Last edited by luckeycnc; 09-21-2006 at 02:21 PM. Reason: error in text |

| Hi, I would check on the rating of them but I used a similar method when I built my controller :- http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=410 These are rated at 4A. Cheers |

| I really have no way of finding the specs to these. I found this surplus a couple of years ago when I started thinking about building my plasma table. I know that my steppers are 3amps/ph, but I don't know in the "practical" sense what they would really draw. I am on such a shoe string budget. I just don't know. |

| I think you will be fine with those. I used something very similar. Scott

| I ran across this list of places that sell connectors - thought I would pass on the info: http://www.glenair.com/index.htm - mil spec and other connectors http://www.alvatek.com/cms/products - connectors – very helpful site for M.S., AMP http://www.partsexpress.com – XLR type connectors, online pricing http://www.iccdirect.com – not all that great but another site http://www.switchcraft.com/products/...or-search.html - lots of connectors, you gotta dig http://www.mpja.com/listcat.asp?dept=83 – wide variety, online pricing Many plugs and connectors are avialable from Newark, Mouser, Allied, etc - these are just a few other places to look for connector ideas.
