i want to build my own CNC table and incorporate my plasma cutter. anyone know of any existing DIY plans for a good reliable CNC table? i think i only need xy axis control but it would be nice to have ~6" z axis. i'm a noob when it comes to CNC stuff, but i'm a "geek" when it comes to parts and computer crud. i dont want to fork up ~$7k for something like the PracticalCNC 4x4 CNC, i'd rather build one via DIY. i have a TD 38 plasma unit. 1/4" is about as thick as i will be cutting. thanks CK |

Welcome, you'll find a lot of excellent information here at CNC Zone.Mike is being modest in saying he has a bias toward the free plasma table plans, they are an excellent source of information. Download them, print them out, study them, ask questions, plan your work, work your plan, then repeat, "I Can Build A CNC Plasma Table" and you will! Check the many posts & the ideas will come your way. Have fun, I am. |
