Hey gus, I was looking at fitting a plama torch to my CNC and as i know nothing about plasma was hoping you could fill in some answers. 1. I wish to cut 9mm (5/8-7/16")plate, what size plasma unit should i be looking for? 2. What should i be looking out for when adding this unit to my table? cheers Michael |

| Michael, Hypertherm 1250 should handle the plate. One item to consider for adding this to your table is 1) keep the hi voltage from the low voltage for drive wires, sensors, and 2) you will need a air compressor. 60 gal minimum. Both the cutter, and air compressor will probably require higher voltage than simple outlet power, so additional concerns about voltages available to the table are also to be considered. The final concern, will be the smoke, and slag from the table. Additionaly, metal slats should be used to place the metal on, instead of the support for a router. HTH Bill |

| There is a Hyperthem HT2000 plasma cutter.....it is still in production at Hypertherm....but it does not have software. Are you talking about the CNC controller on a cutting machine with a Hypertherm HT2000 plasma? If so, what is the brand and model of the CNC control...and is that what you need the software for? | The CNC electronics comes from CR Electronic Advanced Plasma. I believe they are out of business now. Model #HD 6-25. For some reason it has crashed and it no longer communicates with our PC through the software if that make sense. |

| CR Electronics, an Italian company...went out of business about 10 years ago. There is a company in the US that used to sell CR machines in N. America....they may be able to help you with machine support. They are called Cutting Systems Incorporated.
