DTHC test - voltage problem

I am still trying to get past the THC test using CandCNC DTHCII. I am trying to get it to pass Tom's test in the manual. I can make a 12" cut with THC turned off. It cuts a fairly nice line with little dross. I slowed the cut rate down so I could have more time to watch the actual volts on the DRO. The target volts is 124 which comes from the Hypertherm manual. Everything seems to work OK and the torch head cuts at and stays at .060 height. The only problem is the actual volts being shown on the DRO start at 11 and by the end of the cut are at 7. A far cry from the 124 they should be. I have been stuck at this point now for 3 days and can't get past this. I have had the same results for three days. Anyone have any ideas on what I am doing wrong or what is set up wrong or why the numbers are so far apart. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You probably have the divide jumper in the THC SENSOR PWM set to 1:7 instead of the 1:50 for the match to the Hypertherm setting. Not knowing what type of system the plasma will be we test and calibrate the electronics to work with all the ranges but it is normallyfactory set to work with our RAV-01 voltage divider card. Check the DTHCII manual and focus on the THC SENSOR PWM section. There is a page with illustrations setting that jumper.

Correct

Tom, you were correct. I did have the jumper on the wrong setting. Changed it and did the tests and things are going much better now. Thanks

Hi Tom,
Does your DTHC work only with gecko drive or it work with other drive such as granite device or DMM Tech? Thanks.

DTHCII works only with our UBOB III technology and MACH3 software. The type of motors and drives are immaterial as long as they will take industry standard step & dir TTL level signals. The DMM uses (i think) their own BoB to distribute the motor drive signals so use with a conventional BoB like our UBOB would probably not work. It seldom works well to use one BoB to drive another. The DTHC is not a stand-alone THC nor is it a general THC product. It is a plug-in (expansion) card for our UBOB III card that has expanded inputs and outputs VS a conventional BoB.
