I am a newbie no doubt! I realize this question has been asked several times but in searching I can't find two answers that match and all of the suggestions I have read don't work. My problem is that I need to slave the second motor on my x-axis. I am using a Gecko G540 and have the motor connected to the a-axis. Can someone tell me all of the steps and checks that need to be placed and where? |

| I am not at my machine so I am doing this from memory but it should get you into the right neighborhood. If you are using Mach3, go to config / slave axis and under X-Axis, check off the A button. Also, under config / homing limits, check off reversed. Go to Ports and Pins, Motor Outputs and enable the A axis and reverse the step and direction and add your step and direction port. There may be some other ones that I've forgotten so a good place to find answers to MAch3 questions is the MAch3 forum. If you are using other software , go to their websites. Good luck, Willy |

| Thanks for the response. As it turns out I had not loaded the downloaded xml file so the gecko controller didn't know where things were mapped to on the board. My bad. It's working now. Now I just have to learn how to use the Mach3 software. |
