Having built/converted a desktop milling machine to CNC I now have the bug for another CNC project. I recently purchased a plasma cutter, I also recently bought a woodworking router Has anyone made a DIY plasma table that will double up as woodworking router table..? As a child I had a pool/snooker table that you lay on top of the dining room table. I was thinking about an idea of making a DIY 4x4 plasma table, with a water table underneath where you could drain out the water and put a wooden insert over the water table and swap out the plasma torch for a woodworking router. Are there any threads on this forum where it's been done? or is this idea just a non starter?  |
