Initially thought this was an issue with the controller reading the code but I'm pretty certain now that is a problem with the controller itself. The Controller - Lynx 752. The problem - Controller pretty well stalls out when reading complex G-Code such as circular interpolation, small complex parts, pretty well anything that is not a larger rectangle or square. This is making the max cut speed at these sections 1.712 IPM. Spoke with a tech at Linatrol and to the best of my knowledge all of the settings within the controller are correct. It is able to download and it does cut (test run) the parts at the correct size and shape, but it does it so painfully slow that once it actually does cut I think it would be disastrous. I should note it does rapid moves and simple cuts at the correct speed/feed. Does anyone have an idea as to what could be causing this? Hoping to have this table set up within the next week. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Make sure there is not a code for metric operation in the program. The Lynx wills ee this code and automatically switch to metric for the program, all other operations will remain in imperial or 'english' as refered to by the Lynx. |
