Plasma table for a newbie

What would be the best cnc table for a new user that has little or no cnc experience? I'm looking for a 4x4 table for low volume production of parts 3/8" thick or less. Thanks.

Buy. I have enough of a learnig curve with software and not a lot of spare time.

Either PlasmaCam or TorchMate. These are the two most common brands....each has been in business for a long time and have 10's of thousands installed, and very loyal user following. Make sure that what you consider has an easy to learn CADCAM drawing and post processing software package. Both of these manufacturers have excellent, included, packages that are relatively easy to learn....and work very well. Also make sure that you get a full function Torch Height Control on whatever machine you choose....it is included on the PlasmaCam, optional on the Torchmate (but necessary).

How does EZ-Router stack up? There is a used machine available localy.

I have heard they are pretty good. Not nearly as many in the field as the other two. Important thing is the level of factory support.

Service can be everything. I guess I'll call them ask how they feel about supporting used machines.
