Need Help!- Irishman buying Hypertherm P45 in Maine, USA

Hi Guys,

I am luckily travelling to the USA on a business meeting and was looking at the possibility of buying a Hypertherm powermax 45 plasma cutter. Does anyone know of the best place to buy one to get best value. I'd like to buy a hand and machine torch. It has to be single phase 110V to 240V 50/60 Hz.

Any advise is appreciated. I did a google search but a lot of companies have generic websites. I did call Airgas in Portland but they have only a 3 phase machine...

I purchased mine from Airgas, they have decent prices. Surely they can get what you want sent to the local store.

If it was me, I would skip the machine torch. Its a lot of cash for something that really doesnt change anything.

Is there a "Grainger" store out on the east coast? They are a very large supplier. Any welding supplier should carry or be able to get you that.

I want to use this for a CNC table so I think the machine torch would make a big difference....

Will you be cruising to southern California? What length of machine torch are you looking for? I can squeeze on my Airgas rep. He can usually produce. Also, if you know what address you will be staying at, guys like Torchking on ebay can drop ship to it.

Due to extremely high demand....inventory levels may be a bit low on the Powermax45 right now. Hypertherm has added another production shift, and many production associates...however there may be some delays in getting the product! If you go to the Hypertherm | Plasma Cutters | Plasma Cutting Equipment | Metal Cutting Equipment website and click on "where to buy"....you will find listings for all distributor locations based on regions.
