Hello, Would it be possible to adapt a plotter cutter so that it can accept and cut a cylindrical object? I have a thin plastic bottle, with straight sides (like a 2L soda bottle), and need to make some cuts. I thought it would be great to use a plotter cutter - the type where the cutter head moves along a single axis, and the sheet of vinyl is moved by a spinning rod. I was thinking this would be possible if you could cut a large segment out of the bottom of the machine (including the moving rod) so that it would be possible to slip the rod through the cylinder. However I am not sure if altering the machine in this way would destroy any other functions, or even if this would work at all. Any advice or opinions? Thanks, Tufty |
