    silent spindle

    Hello,

I am looking for the quietest possible spindle at reasonable price for a DIY small MDF CNC router machine (maximum working area 12"x12").

    Thanks,

What's a reasonable price? The only really quiet spindles are the chinese water cooled ones.

However, with my PC 892 at it's slowest setting, the cutting noise is louder than the router.

I would say less than $1000 and not water cooled. Right now, I have a cheap router from hardware store and it is very loud.

    Thanks.

You can get an air cooled 1.5Kw chinese spindle on Ebay.

Thanks for the information. I did not see any specs on noise.
